Our throwaway society
Disposable items deserve some thought too.
Throwaway tissues, pens and razors play an everyday part in most households, whilst disposable nappies, which account for four percent of household rubbish, help to swell the contents of many family’s bins. By rethinking our rubbish and choosing durable alternatives, such as hankies and modern re-useable nappies (some of which are very similar in design to disposables) we can help to cut down on our rubbish whilst saving a little extra for our own pockets at the same time.
