The Good Stuff
Gone too are the days when recycled goods were seen as ‘poor relations’ and were expensive to buy. This has changed dramatically. Many recycled products such as stationary are of such a high standard that it is difficult to tell them from their ‘ordinary’ counterparts. And in spite of a popular myth that recycled items are expensive, advances in technology also mean that many can be produced at the same price or cheaper than original products. You would be amazed at the range of high quality goods that are available to buy that have been made from items we usually regard as rubbish! So when you have a choice between recycled and non-recycled goods, there’s really no excuse not to buy recycled!
Buying ‘recycled’ is something we can all do that will make a real difference. It not only saves using raw materials, but it also helps cut down transportation and importation costs. But crucially, it supports and helps to develop the recycling industry, which is all about creating and sustaining jobs in recycling. As demand grows, recycling will expand to keep up with it which is good for everyone.
