Rethink Rubbish on the road

A giant motorised dustbin, which can travel up to 15 mph and which measures an impressive 3 metres in height and 2.3 metres in width, will be visiting 8 locations in England and Wales during June, July and August to spread the Rethink Rubbish message.

The giant dustbin provides the focal point for our roadshow events which will feature a range of exciting activities, including children’s activities, a chance to work on our specially designed Rethink Rubbish collage and street theatre to entertain and inform.

Why a giant motorised dustbin? Well, when we’re talking about rubbish, the dustbin is the one thing that everyone can relate to. We want everyone to stop and think before they throw away their rubbish into their dustbin – if we don’t, we could soon need a dustbin as big as this to cope with all our rubbish!

A family of four would need a bin this size to cope with all the rubbish they throw away each year.
